Is there a poem that you feel reveals the most about you?
I think poetry reveals and conceals at the same time. It pretty much does what language does. There are autobiographical secrets that are contained in most people's poems that the reader doesn't necessarily have to be in on, not deep dark secrets but private information that generated the poem, but doesn't play a big role in the poem. I think what my poems reveal is not so much biographical information... I think what they reveal is my imagination, my habits of mind, the kinds of things that grab my attention in the stream of consciousness. So what I am really conveying is not so much a living, breathing person, but I'm conveying a personality who has a certain kind of consciousness.
