From Perigee to Apogee

We see 59% of the moon's surface
but our naked-eye astronomy notes only:

full, part, gone.

an object's size and brightness

on two occasions. So we say
the moon has a dark side.

We say the tide twice a day.
We say that man there, so unlike

my husband.
