Something New

" I wrote Something New on New Year's Day, a day when I think about everything in tiny pieces. I watched Metropolis in small doses for the first time in years. All I could see was how its DNA is in so many other movies. Like the way my nephew looks like my father. Maybe like Barbie is embedded in our youth culture, in some unfortunate way. Anyway, I don't really think this is the last new year. "
